Alpen Cup 2015 abgesagt – was passiert mit dem Startgeld?Hallo Piloten! Leider musste der Alpen Cup wetterbedingt abgesagt werden. Einen Wettbewerb über ein verlängertes Wochenende zu verlieren tut weh, doch ist es nichts im Vergleich zu den tragischen und traurigen Problemen, mit welchen andere Menschen auf dieser Welt konfrontiert sind. Wenn man die vielen erschreckenden Nachrichten von den verheerenden Folgen des Erdbebens in Nepal im Fernsehen sieht, erkennt man sehr schnell, daß wir zu den Glücklichen gehören, die auf der sonnigen Seite der Welt leben dürfen. Uwe Tillmann, ein deutscher Ligapilot, hat sich mit einer guten Idee bei uns gemeldet, welche wir gerne weiterleiten: Lasst uns doch das bereits bezahlte Startgeld – welches ohnehin verplant war – für Bedürftige in Nepal spenden! Die Cloudbase Foundation ist eine 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Organisation, gegründet von Gleitschirm- und Drachenfliegern der ganzen Welt. Das Ziel der Organisation ist es, den Gemeinschaften in denen geflogen wird, auch etwas zurückzugeben. Im Moment läuft über die Organisation ein großer Spendenaufruf für Nepal. http://thecloudbasefoundation.org/site/donate/ Uwe Tillmanns schreibt in seinem e-mail, daß Isabella Messenger (ebenso eine Deutsche Ligapilotin) im Moment in Nepal ist und mit ihrem Namen dafür bürgt, daß sämtliche Mittel auch tatsächlich bei den Menschen ankommt, die es im Moment dringen nötig haben. Um es einfach zu machen, haben wir hier zwei Optionen vorbereitet: • Sollten wir bis Mittwoch, 6. Mai keine Antwort von Dir erhalten, werden wir € 90,- des Startgeldes an Dich zurück überweisen (siehe Ausschreibung Alpen Cup) • Trage Deinen Namen bis Mittwoch, 6. Alpen Cup 2015 canceled – what about the entry fee?Hello pilots! Unfortunately we had to cancel the Alpen Cup because of bad weather. Losing a competition weekend due to bad weather is not nice, but it’s nothing compared to the horrifying and sad stories that other people around the world have to manage. Watching the news about the consequences of the earthquake in Nepal makes us feel lucky and grateful for not being in the same situation as our Nepalese brothers and sisters. Uwe Tillmann, a German league member, had a good idea, which we would like to share with you: Let’s give all pilots the chance to donate the entry fee to help the victims oth the earthquake in Nepal! The Cloudbase Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization made up of paraglider and hang glider pilots from around the world who are committed to giving back to the communities where they fly.
